So, what are black truffles? Well, they’re a special fungus like mushrooms that grow between Hazelnut trees in France. While we just use a bit for their flavor, truffles are typically considered part of a special savory taste category called umami. They are common in certain types of gourmet cooking, which is why they’re often deemed a delicacy and other parts of the world.
And, of course, we add our signature fresh Ghost Peppers for a boost of heat, too. If you’re looking for an estimate on the heat scale, we would give it a six or seven out of ten; not spicy enough to cause panic, but still super flavorful.
