Although he had given up other substances years before this, this is the date he took his last mind or mood altering substance. The decision to give up ALL drugs and alcohol was what made the creation of these tasty sauces possible. Derek is a recovering addict who loves to share his experience, strength, and hope with others. He wants all addicts and those who are left in the wake of the destructive force that is addiction to know that there is a way out and always hope. Never give up, because life on the other side is beyond rewarding.
